CONTRIBUTION LIMITS:

When inviting guests to attend City Club luncheons and events, please be mindful of the various ethics rules regarding business entertainment for government officials and employees. The following ethics rules appy to the business entertainment of state, county and local officials and employees:

  • State of Illinois officials and employees may attend events as long as the value of the event is less than $75.00 per person.

  • Cook County officials and employees may attend events as long as the value of the event is less than $75.00 per person.

  • City of Chicago officials and employees may attend events as long as the value of the event is less than $50.00 and the cumulative value of events from one source in any one year is less than $100.00.

  • Chicago Public Schools officials and employees may attend events as long as the value of the event is less than $50.00 and the cumulative value of events from one source in any one year is less than $100.00.

GENERAL LEGAL PROVISIONS:

Termination: The City Club may terminate these Terms of Service without cause at any time and effective immediately. In addition, the City Club, in its sole discretion may terminate these Terms of Service immediately and without notice for violation of any part of these Terms of Service. You may also terminate these Terms of Service by simply discontinuing use of the website. In the event of any termination of these Terms of Service, the restrictions on your use of the content of the website as set forth in Paragraph 9 (Intellectual Property) survive such termination, and you agree to be bound by those terms.
