Micheál Martin
Micheál Martin serves as Ireland's Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister), Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense. He was appointed to these roles on December 2022. He served as Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland) from June 2020 to December 2022. He has been leader of the Fianna Fáil party February 2011.
Tánaiste Martin has held four cabinet posts Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Minister for Health and Minister for Education. He also previously served as Lord Mayor of Cork.
Micheál Martin was born in Turners Cross, Cork. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Political History from University College Cork.
